These movements are non-weight bearing and involve sliding, gliding and circular movement to reduce Myo-Fascial holding in the body.

VINYASA FLOW

These classes use movement and breath together to produce a "flow" of postures that lead naturally from one to the next to create a deep invigerating yoga practice that recognizes each student's individual strengths and limitations. The sequences will change from class to class, but the overall experience is being caught up in the flow of the movement and the moment. Ideal for those looking for a more challenging practice and wanting to gain confidence to have their own home practice. Previous yoga experience necessary with the ability to move through different variations of the Sun Salutations.

PILATES

Pilates is a form of physical exercise that uses controlled movements to strengthen the entire body, with its main focus on building the "powerhouse" (the muscles of the abdominals, back, and hips).  This physical discipline was discovered by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.  It was called "Contrology" as it was a form of physical conditioning that uses the mind to control movements.

If practiced with consistency, Pilates:

- builds total body strength

- improves flexibility

- Builds awareness of alignment to help prevent injury

- Relieves stress through the breath-work

- Builds endurance by developing smooth and control movement

Pilates is also non weight bearing, so it's very gentle on the joints.

Perfect for those recovering from injury or surgery.
